Jennifer Lopez Hits Back at Comments About ‘Always’ Being ‘Naked’ at 56 with NSFW Response

Jennifer Lopez is making it clear that negativity doesn’t faze her.

During the Dec. 30 opening night of her Jennifer Lopez: Up All Night Live Las Vegas residency, the 56-year-old performer addressed the criticism she often encounters online, speaking candidly to the audience in a moment captured on TikTok.

“Thank God I’ve been doing this a long time. I can just ignore a lot of it. It really doesn’t mean anything,” Lopez said, adding that she shares the same advice with her children. She admitted that some comments even make her laugh. “They say funny things sometimes,” she noted, before touching on frequent remarks about her fashion choices.

“‘Why is she always dressed that way? Why doesn’t she dress her age? Why is she always naked?’ And I say, ‘If you had this booty, you’d be naked too,’” Lopez joked, turning briefly to give the crowd a playful view of her barely-there sequin fringe minidress before covering it with a feathery skirt.

Up All Night marks Lopez’s first Las Vegas residency since Jennifer Lopez: All I Have, her record-breaking run at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino from 2016 to 2018. That residency spanned 120 shows and grossed more than $100 million. The new production continues with performances from Dec. 31 through Jan. 3, followed by eight additional shows scheduled for March 2026 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

The spectacle delivers exactly what fans expect from the global superstar: high-energy performances wrapped in glitz and glamour. Throughout the show, Lopez appears in a range of dramatic looks, including an old Hollywood–inspired baby pink feather robe and gown paired with a plunging corset, as well as a sparkling bodysuit inspired by classic men’s tuxedos. True to form, she also embraces bold, skin-baring silhouettes, stepping onstage in an abs-revealing encrusted fringe dress and a custom corseted lace catsuit with intricate, web-like detailing.

Lopez has also been making headlines recently for her fashion beyond the Vegas stage. In November, she attended a lavish three-day Indian wedding celebration for Netra Mantena and Vamsi Gadiraju, performing during the festivities in a gold, bejeweled thong bodysuit. For the ceremony itself, she wore a crystal-studded Manish Malhotra couture saree, complemented by a striking Manish Malhotra High Jewelry necklace featuring 168 carats of emeralds.

Amid her busy schedule, Lopez still made time to celebrate the holidays with her family. Over Christmas, she shared moments wearing matching pajamas with loved ones and stepped out in a festive, ’90s-inspired dress that embraced her signature bold style.
