Jennifer Lopez’s recent tour stop in Turkey featured an unexpected moment for the pop icon.
On Monday, Aug. 4, Lopez, 56, tried to visit a Chanel store in Istanbul but was turned away by a security guard due to the store reaching full capacity, according to Türkiye Today. The “Can’t Get Enough” singer responded graciously, saying, “Okay, no problem” before stepping away.
Although the store staff invited her to return, Lopez opted to explore other luxury boutiques instead. She later visited Celine and Beymen, as reported by Türkiye Today.
Her visit to Turkey’s largest city coincided with her Aug. 5 performance at Yenikapi Festival Park during the Istanbul Festival. Lopez is nearing the conclusion of her Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour, which wraps up on Aug. 12 in Sardinia, Italy.

This marked Lopez’s second visit to Turkey during the tour. She previously performed on July 23 at the Regnum Carya Resort Hotel, where she celebrated her birthday the following day.
“What a gift you all are! Thank you so much for all your beautiful birthday wishes,” Lopez wrote on Instagram alongside photos from her birthday celebration.
During her stop in Madrid, Lopez welcomed Spanish painter Esther Moya González backstage. Known for creating live portraits of musicians, González had the chance to present her portrait of Lopez to the singer before the show.
When Lopez returns to the U.S., she will likely focus on promoting the upcoming release of Kiss of the Spider Woman. Written and directed by Bill Condon, the musical film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and is scheduled for theatrical release on Oct. 10.
The film is adapted from the musical by Terrence McNally, John Kander, and Frank Ebb, which itself draws inspiration from Manuel Puig’s 1976 novel. Diego Luna and Tonatiuh Elizarraraz star as prisoners Valentin and Molina, with Lopez portraying Ingrid Luna, a screen diva admired by Molina.
