Jimmy Kimmel isn’t holding back when it comes to President Donald Trump’s recent attacks on late-night comedy.
The Jimmy Kimmel Live host, 57, returned from a two-month summer break on Tuesday, Sept. 2, and opened his first show back with a bold, 10-minute monologue aimed directly at the president. He addressed everything from viral health rumors to Trump’s controversial White House renovations.
Kimmel’s sharp comments came after Trump, 79, had repeatedly criticized major late-night hosts, starting with his July celebration that CBS had canceled the top-rated Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
During the monologue, Kimmel joked about the viral rumor that Trump had died over Labor Day weekend. He also made fun of the president’s “big fat elephant ankles” and bruised hand, which Kimmel said was being poorly covered up. “Even sloppier than the Epstein one,” he added.
“Trump said he’s in great health, he’s never felt better,” Kimmel said. “Even though he looks like a pumpkin left in a car on a 100-degree day, he’s definitely not dead.”
“Donald Trump will never die. Forget it! He’s like Dracula,” Kimmel continued. “He’s going to keep sucking the life out of us forever.”
Kimmel started the monologue with an edited clip of a Cabinet meeting in Washington, D.C., showing advisers giving over-the-top compliments to Trump. Kimmel even added himself into the scene, joking that Trump’s image made him “sexually aroused.”
He then read a list of Trump’s summer actions, each “crazier than the next.” These included planning a UFC fight at the White House, clashing with the Smithsonian over slavery exhibits, asking world leaders for help to win the Nobel Peace Prize, and traveling to Alaska “to bend over for Putin.”

Kimmel also responded to Trump’s threats that Jimmy Kimmel Live might be canceled next.
“Oh, you delicate, chubby little teacup,” Kimmel said. “Did we hurt your feelings? You want us to be canceled because we make jokes about you?”
“I thought you were against cancel culture?” he added. “I thought that was, like, your whole thing? When did you become so woke?”
