Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular to light up NYC with performances by stars like Ariana DeBose, Jonas Brothers, and Ava Max.
New York City is ready to dazzle once again as it hosts the 49th annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular—one of the nation’s most iconic Independence Day celebrations.
This year’s two-hour televised event, hosted by Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose, will air live on NBC at 8 PM ET, and stream simultaneously on Peacock. The show boasts a star-studded lineup featuring the Jonas Brothers, Ava Max, Lenny Kravitz, Keke Palmer, Eric Church, and Trisha Yearwood. Adding to the festivities is a special musical score curated by The Roots’ Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson and James Poyser.
What Time Do the Fireworks Start?
The fireworks themselves are scheduled to begin at 9:25 PM ET, according to NYC311.
NBC will broadcast the full event live from 8 PM to 10 PM, with an encore airing at 10 PM. For Spanish-language viewers, Telemundo will also air a special presentation from 9 PM to 10 PM ET.
What to Expect
Macy’s promises a breathtaking display of more than 80,000 fireworks shells in 30 different colors and effects, including:
- Crackling crown jellyfish
- Atomic rings
- Yellow and green sunbursts
- Strobing lemon cascades
- Comet fans
The pyrotechnics will be launched from the Brooklyn Bridge and four barges between Pier 17 and the Downtown Manhattan Heliport—a return to the East River after last year’s Hudson River show.
