Lara Trump said Trump may release more Epstein probe docs, contradicting a DOJ memo denying further disclosures or the existence of a client “black book.”

Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump and a senior campaign adviser, suggested Monday that the Trump administration may release additional documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation—despite a Department of Justice (DOJ) memo stating no further disclosures are planned.

In an interview with conservative media personality Benny Johnson, Lara Trump said President Trump is considering the release of more material to address growing public demands for transparency. “He wants to set things right,” she said, amid mounting pressure from Trump’s political base.

Her remarks appeared to directly contradict a memo released earlier by the DOJ under the Trump administration, which asserted that no additional documents would be disclosed. The memo also claimed the rumored “black book” of Epstein’s alleged clients does not exist and denied allegations that it was used for blackmail.

Lara Trump acknowledged the discrepancy, stating:

“Look, I don’t know what truly exists there, but I know this is something that’s important to the President as well.”

She added that while the issue isn’t Trump’s top priority, he is aware of the public outcry:

“He hears all the noise and the consternation out there… He sat for four years like the rest of us did and saw lie after lie. He wants to bring transparency.”

Her comments come just days after House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries called on the Trump administration to disclose more information related to Epstein, fueling renewed scrutiny.

Lara Trump hinted that any future releases would be carefully reviewed to avoid harming potential witnesses or minors:

“Anything they are able to release — that doesn’t damage any witnesses or anyone underage — I believe they’ll probably try to get out sooner rather than later.”

The conflicting statements between the DOJ and Lara Trump have added to the confusion surrounding the administration’s stance on one of the most politically sensitive investigations in recent memory.
