Lola Young collapsed during a live performance at a New York City music festival.
The 24-year-old singer experienced the medical incident mid-set while performing “Conceited” at the All Things Go Music Festival at Forest Hills Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 27. Medical staff quickly carried Young offstage as the audience cheered in support.
Remi Wolf later addressed the crowd, saying, “That was really f—— scary,” before assuring fans, “My friend Lola is backstage, and she is okay.” Doechii also gave Young a shoutout during her own set.
Earlier in her performance, Young had reflected on recent challenges, sharing, “Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue, but you know what, today I woke up and I made the decision to come here, and I wanted to be cool … and sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.”
Representatives for Young and the All Things Go Music Festival did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on Sept. 27.

Young’s onstage collapse came a day after she canceled her performance at Audacy’s We Can Survive concert on Friday, Sept. 26. Her manager, Nick Shymansky, explained on Instagram Stories that she had to withdraw “due to a sensitive matter.”
Shymansky hinted that her cancellation may have been related to mental health, noting that Young has been “very open about” her struggles. “There are [occasionally] days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe,” he added. “She is an incredible person and always takes her fans, career and performances seriously. I can only send huge apologies for the inconvenience caused.”
Young, an English singer, is best known for her 2024 hit “Messy.” She has released three albums: 2023’s My Mind Wanders and Sometimes Leaves Completely, 2024’s This Wasn’t Meant for You Anyway, and I’m Only F—— Myself, which came out on Sept. 19.

In 2022, Young spoke candidly about her mental health and her diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder at age 17 in an Instagram post. She wrote, “I cant find the words to describe how much this diagnosis has affected my entire life, and my outlook on the world around me. I have struggled immensely learning to accept this part of myself, and I am still learning.”
She continued, “I have to remind myself that I am a regular f—— person, I am human and I am, like everyone, capable of incredible things, my mental health condition does not define me. It is my superpower,” adding that she experiences “crazy f—— highs and immense lows” and takes medication to manage her symptoms.
