A California man has been arrested in connection with the death of a missing 17-year-old girl after partial remains were discovered in December.

Abraham Feinbloom, 51, is being held without bail at the Imperial County Jail on suspicion of murder and resisting a peace officer in the death of T’Neya Tovar, the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office said in a Feb. 14 news release.

Investigators said deputies, working with the FBI, served a search warrant Friday, Feb. 13, at a home in the 2800 block of Harlequin Court in Salton City. Authorities reported seeing Feinbloom jump a fence in what they believed was an attempt to avoid law enforcement, but he was quickly taken into custody.

He was then turned over to FBI agents for questioning as investigators processed the home for evidence, the sheriff’s office said.

Tovar was reported missing from her home in Hemet, in Riverside County, on Dec. 1, 2025, according to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, which said at the time that she may have been with an adult man and noted she has a tattoo on her left hand.

A local report, citing detectives, said Tovar had traveled about 70 miles to Thermal to meet a man.

On Dec. 21, authorities said a leg showing signs of decomposition was found in Vista Delmar. Investigators said a rapid DNA comparison matched the remains to Tovar using a swab from her mother.
