An Arizona man who disappeared in Utah nearly two years ago may finally have been found after his car was discovered submerged in Lake Powell with a body inside.
According to a joint statement from the Page Police Department in Arizona and the Kane County Sheriff’s Office in Utah, the vehicle was pulled from the water over Labor Day weekend.
Police confirmed the car belonged to Dennis Keith Dillinger, a 54-year-old man who has been missing since December 2023. Records show Dillinger was last seen on December 1, 2023, at a Family Dollar Tree store in Kanab, Utah.

His vehicle was spotted by people visiting Lone Rock Beach in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. They reported it to authorities, who later removed the car from the water on September 3. Inside, investigators found human remains.
The Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office will work to confirm the identity of the remains and determine the cause of death.
The Kane County Sheriff’s Office is leading the death investigation, which is still ongoing.
“Kane County offers their gratitude to the National Park Service rangers, support staff and dive team from Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, and the Page Arizona Police Department for the many hours of work on this case and assistance with recovery of the vehicle,” the statement said.
