A Texas man has been arrested following a deadly shooting inside his ex-girlfriend’s home that left another man dead.
According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, officers responding to a call early Sunday, Oct. 26, in Converse, Texas, found 35-year-old Noel Denzel Miller suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Later that day, authorities arrested 23-year-old Shiateek Wilson in connection with the shooting.
Investigators say Wilson told police he went to his ex-girlfriend’s home around 1 a.m. and hid in her daughter’s closet with flowers, allegedly intending to surprise her. While waiting for her return, he reportedly drank a beverage and watched videos, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.
The woman — whose name has not been released — told investigators that after she and Miller returned home, the two decided to take a shower together, according to an arrest affidavit cited by KSAT. While she waited in the shower, she said she heard gunshots. Running to her son’s upstairs bedroom, she found Miller wounded and Wilson holding a handgun, per the affidavit.

She also claimed Wilson briefly took her phone, preventing her from calling emergency services despite her pleas for help, KSAT reported.
Wilson then allegedly fled the scene and was arrested later that day.
Friends and family members have been mourning Miller’s death on social media.
“The hood is gonna feel this one,” wrote Nathan Devon Liggins on Facebook. “Noel Miller brought joy to a lot of people. It’s sad to see his story end so soon. RIP my friend.”
Another friend, Wendell Monroe, posted, “A piece of my heart was just ripped away… having to tell this to my mom, dad, and lil brother ended me. Rest in Heaven, Noel. I’ll love you forever, my baby, and keep your name alive.”
A relative also shared that the family is raising funds to lay Miller to rest.
Wilson, who authorities allege admitted to shooting Miller and claimed self-defense, has been charged with murder, according to online court records. He is currently being held on a $300,000 bond while awaiting indictment.
