Former Democratic National Committee (DNC) fundraiser Lindy Li is accusing party leaders and the Biden campaign of orchestrating a widespread effort to hide President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline—a cover-up she now calls a “massive left-wing conspiracy.”
In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Li said she witnessed firsthand how top Democrats, including members of Biden’s inner circle, carefully managed talking points and public appearances to downplay the president’s age-related struggles—even as his condition visibly worsened.
“I was banned from the Biden White House for telling the truth when it mattered,” said Li. “Others only spoke out once it was safe—once Biden was already out.”
Li, who was once a rising star within the DNC and part of its National Finance Committee, said her private concerns about Biden’s fitness were met with hostility. She recalled conversations dating back to 2022, including one with Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), who allegedly told her Biden was “too old to run.” A year later, Duckworth became Biden’s campaign co-chair.
‘I Was Treated Like a Criminal’
Li said her polite questioning of Biden’s capacity—raised with top DNC officials including former chair Jaime Harrison and current chair Ken Martin—was met with aggressive backlash.
“I wasn’t attacking anyone. I just asked if maybe he should step aside. And for that, I was treated like a criminal,” she said.
According to Li, she was tightly monitored at events, including one she hosted for Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. At the 2025 DNC Winter Meeting, she said her phone was confiscated, and she was told not to post on social media. When she posted a story showing Biden at a dinner, the DNC reportedly demanded she delete it immediately.
“They were in damage control mode 24/7,” she said. “We were given strict talking points. They didn’t just ignore concerns—they actively managed them.”
Influencers, Talking Points, and ‘Assassinate His Character’
Li alleges that the DNC and White House coordinated a “conspiracy” that involved not just staff, but paid influencers.
“Don’t tell me they didn’t have influencers on the payroll—they paid me,” she said.
She claims after Special Counsel Robert Hur described Biden as a “well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory,” she was told to discredit him.
“We were told to destroy Hur’s reputation—to basically say Biden was some behind-the-scenes genius,” she recalled. “We were supposed to assassinate [Hur’s] character.”
Debate Fallout: ‘People Were Crying’
The turning point came after Biden’s widely criticized debate performance, which eventually led him to suspend his 2024 re-election bid. Li said top aides like Jen O’Malley Dillon and Julie Rodriguez rushed to contain the damage with internal briefings.
“The morning after the debate, people were misty-eyed,” Li said. “Some were crying on the shuttle ride home—it was that devastating.”
Despite that, Biden’s campaign insisted he couldn’t drop out, citing finance laws. “That was false,” Li said. “History proved otherwise.”
When asked about Li’s allegations, a former Biden official responded dismissively: “Who is Lindy Li?”
