Officials in Oregon are asking the public for help locating a missing child.
The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) issued an urgent alert on Wednesday, Jan. 7, as it continues searching for 4-year-old Miamor Hernandez Brown. The agency said the child went missing from Cornelius on Tuesday, Dec. 30, along with her father, Jose Carmelo Hernandez Martinez, and his partner, Erika Alejandra Simich.
“The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS), Child Welfare Division, believes that Miamor may be at risk and is searching for her to assess her safety,” ODHS said.
Miamor is described as having black hair and brown eyes, and weighing about 40 pounds.
Authorities said the child, her father and his partner are believed to be living in a white Jeep Patriot with Oregon license plate 863GEF. They may be staying in or around Forest Grove, Hillsboro, Cornelius and North Portland.

“ODHS asks the public to help in the effort to find Miamor,” the agency said.
No additional details were released about the circumstances of the child’s disappearance.
In its alert, ODHS also noted that in some cases the agency issues media notices when it believes a missing child could be in serious danger and needs to be located quickly to assess and support their safety. ODHS added that if a child goes missing more than once, multiple alerts may be issued for the same child.
