A missing South Carolina mother was found about 200 miles from her home after disappearing during a trip to Atlanta to attend a church conference over the weekend, according to authorities and local news reports.
Leigh McAlister, 37, was reported missing after she was last seen on Saturday, Feb. 14, the Cobb County Police Department in Georgia said in a statement on social media.
McAlister traveled from her hometown of Lexington — a suburb of Columbia, South Carolina — to Atlanta on Saturday, Feb. 13, to attend a church conference, according to WXIA.

She was reported missing by her husband, Rob, after he was unable to get in touch with her. The couple has a 4-year-old son, WXIA reported.
Rob later said his wife was found at a local hospital by Atlanta police, according to WXIA. Cobb County police confirmed she had been located but did not release additional details.
Before she was found, surveillance video from Saturday showed her at a Publix supermarket in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood, according to WXIA.

WXIA and WLTX reported that her SUV was found in Cobb County on Monday, Feb. 16, along with her phone and wallet.
A missing person alert posted on social media said McAlister was expected to return home Saturday afternoon, but she decided to stay in Atlanta until Sunday, Feb. 15.
