Authorities in Georgia have found the body of 77-year-old Lillie Mae Wade, three days after she was reported missing.

According to a news release from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department, Wade was last seen around 6:20 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, near Dairy Pak Road — about two miles from her home on Hancock Avenue, as reported by the Athens Banner-Herald.

Wade, who had dementia, was discovered dead around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, in the same area where she was last seen. Lieutenant Katie Jenkins told the Banner-Herald that Wade’s body was found along a private railroad track behind several businesses in north Athens.

Search crews reportedly combed the area twice, locating her during the second search. Her body has been sent for autopsy, though police said there is no indication of foul play.

“ACCPD expresses our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Lillie Wade,” the department said in a statement. “We are deeply appreciative of our community members and partner agencies for their assistance and support throughout this search.”

Several state and local agencies joined the search effort, utilizing K-9 units, drones, aviation support, ATVs, and officers on foot.
