A mother of three from Conway, Arkansas, has died after suffering a brain aneurysm while driving in late December.
On Monday, Dec. 29, Tylena Wright lost consciousness behind the wheel and drifted into oncoming traffic, according to KARK.com and a GoFundMe page created by her son, Xavier Wright, 19.
Xavier told KARK.com in an interview published Jan. 12 that doctors delivered grim news soon after.
“The neurologist told us later on that day, that there’s really nothing we can do about it,” he said. “There’s too much brain bleeding. And after that, the next day, we had to pull the plug on her.”
In addition to Xavier, Wright was also the mother of a 22-year-old daughter, who has not been publicly identified, and her 16-year-old daughter, Aariah, KARK.com reported.
In his GoFundMe tribute, Xavier remembered his mother as “a truly caring and beautiful soul, always smiling and bringing joy to everyone around her.”
“To us, she was more than a mother — she was our best friend and the heart of our family,” he wrote.
He said he and his sisters have been trying to maintain some sense of normalcy since her death.
“It’s been hard,” he told KARK.com.
The siblings also said they hope to remain in the home they shared with their mother.

“I would love to stay here as long as I can. So, you can just feel like she’s here with you. Whenever she’s not,” Aariah told KARK.com.
Xavier, who is currently in college, said he feels the weight of caring for his younger sister while continuing his education.
“I know I’ve got to find a way to keep focused and keep doing what I was doing when she was here,” he said.
The family’s GoFundMe page has raised $18,705 toward a $22,000 goal.

“Now that she’s gone, my sisters and I are facing a difficult road ahead,” Xavier wrote. “We are determined to stay in our home and continue our college education, but without her support, it’s a real struggle.”
He added, “The financial burden of living expenses and maintaining stability has become overwhelming, and we are reaching out for help during this incredibly hard time.”
