Chicago police have released a new photo of a missing special education teacher who has now been gone for more than a week.
Linda Brown, 53, was last seen on Jan. 3 near 3500 South Lake Park Avenue, according to an updated notice from police.
Officials said Brown was alone and walking eastbound from the area. She was described as wearing a black winter hat, a black coat, black pants and black rubber snow boots. Police said she could be in need of immediate medical attention.
Investigators also believe Brown may have been driving a blue Honda Civic around the time she disappeared.
Brown’s husband, Antwon Brown, told local outlets on Wednesday, Jan. 7, that her vehicle was later found undamaged, according to Fox affiliate WFLD and CBS affiliate WBBM. Family members said the car was located near South Lake Park Avenue and East 35th Street.

Relatives also said video from about 3 a.m. on Jan. 3 showed Brown walking across a pedestrian bridge leading toward the lakefront, but the footage did not show her coming back.
Antwon Brown previously told WBBM he last saw his wife of 11 years around midnight on Jan. 2 into Jan. 3. He also said she missed an acupuncture appointment scheduled for Jan. 3, despite leaving home with her purse and credit cards, WFLD reported.
He added that Brown, who teaches at Robert Healy Elementary School in Bridgeport, was expected to return to work on Monday, Jan. 5, after being on leave for several months, WBBM reported.
According to police, Brown is 5 feet tall, weighs about 130 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.
