Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have separated, PEOPLE confirms.
The Oscar-winning actress, 58, and the country singer, 57, have gone their separate ways. A source close to the family told PEOPLE: “Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock, and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.”
The source added: “She didn’t want this. She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
TMZ first reported the split, noting that the pair had been living apart since early summer.

Kidman and Urban, who tied the knot in June 2006, share two daughters — Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Before her marriage to Urban, Kidman was married to Tom Cruise.
On June 25, Kidman posted a heartfelt message on Instagram celebrating their wedding anniversary, writing, “Happy Anniversary Baby ❤️ @KeithUrban.”
The actress, who recently finished filming Practical Magic 2 in London, later shared “summer memories” on Instagram on Aug. 19, highlighting time spent with her daughters and extended family. Urban, meanwhile, has been focused on touring, with his next performance scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 2, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
In April 2024, Kidman reflected on her family life in an interview with PEOPLE, saying: “I’m so lucky that I have Keith, who’s just my love, my deep, deep love. That gives me the ability to go and do whatever I have to do because I know where I can come back to.”
