A woman in Kentucky died after being attacked by a pack of wild dogs.
Priscilla Jones, 44, was walking in Flat Lick around 2:30 p.m. on August 29 when she was “attacked and severely injured by a pack of dogs roaming the area,” the Knox County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement on Facebook.
Authorities said a woman who knew Priscilla heard her screams for help and called 911. The East Knox Fire Department found her with life-threatening injuries and unable to speak.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Barbourville Police Department also responded. First responders took Priscilla to Barbourville ARH Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Police said the investigation is still ongoing.
Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith told Fox 56 News that the dogs’ owner could face charges.
“In Kentucky, you do have an obligation to control and confine your animals,” Smith said. “We’re looking at all aspects of this situation and will determine that as the investigation continues.”
He also advised residents to “be vigilant and cautious, and be aware of your surroundings at all times.”
Priscilla’s sister, Peggy Jones, told Fox 56 News that her sibling will be remembered as “one-of-a-kind” and someone with “a heart of gold.”
“She would do anything in the world to help anybody if she could,” Peggy said.
