Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., delivered her strongest criticism yet of President Donald Trump, labeling him a “vile creature” and the worst person on Earth during an interview published Monday.
“He’s just a vile creature. The worst thing on the face of the earth,” Pelosi said.
Interviewer Elex Michaelson pressed her on the remark.
“You think he’s the worst thing on the face of the earth?” he asked.
“I do, yeah. I do,” Pelosi replied.
Voting is currently underway for California’s Proposition 50, a special election measure that could reshape next year’s fight for control of the U.S. House. The proposal would significantly adjust California’s congressional districts, placing the state at the center of a politically charged redistricting battle.
Critics have condemned Proposition 50 as a Democratic “power grab.” Pelosi, however, defended the initiative and argued that Trump poses the greater threat. Michaelson highlighted that Pelosi has repeatedly framed the proposition as a countermeasure to Trump’s influence.

When asked to justify her forceful language, Pelosi cited several concerns.
“Because he’s the president of the United States, and he does not honor the Constitution of the United States,” she said. “In fact, he’s turned the Supreme Court into a rogue court. He’s abolished the House of Representatives. He’s chilled the press. He’s scared people who are in our country legally.”
Pelosi did not directly address whether she intends to run for re-election, but she insisted she would win easily if she chose to do so.
“I have no doubt that if I decided to run, I would win. That isn’t even a question. It isn’t arrogant, it’s confident,” she said.
She emphasized that her current mission in Congress is centered on securing a Democratic majority in the House — and she argued that Proposition 50 is a crucial step.
“My only reason I’m in Congress this term is to win the House for the Democrats, to protect us from the poison of the Trump administration,” Pelosi said.
