A pregnant woman and her husband died after a car crash that happened just one day after they celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary.
Cathrene Kith Quiñones Singco and her husband, Ralph, were involved in a collision with another vehicle on Moira Road near Nutts Corner in Crumlin, a suburb of Dublin, Ireland, shortly after 2:00 p.m. local time on Sunday, Jan. 11, police said, per the BBC, Belfast Telegraph and BelfastLive.
Cathrene, a Filipino health worker in her 30s, was sitting in the back seat at the time of the crash. She and her unborn baby later died in the hospital on Monday, Jan. 12. Ralph, also in his 30s, died in the hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 13, according to the same outlets.
Six other people suffered minor injuries in the collision.
The couple had celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary the day before the crash. They marked the occasion by resharing a 2025 post on Facebook featuring photos and videos from a trip to Switzerland. One video showed them dancing together in the snow.

“From traveling as two to traveling as three puhon,” Cathrene wrote to Ralph. “Happy 6th years married.”
Messages of condolence filled the comments on the post.
An investigation into the fatal collision is ongoing. “We are investigating what happened and require the public’s assistance with our enquiries,” Detective Inspector Stewart from the Collision Investigation Unit said, per the Belfast Telegraph.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash — or who may have dash-cam footage from the road around the time of the incident — to contact the Collision Investigation Unit.
Declan Kearney, the Sinn Féin MLA for South Antrim, also spoke about the crash and raised concerns about safety on that stretch of Moira Road.

“The Moira Road has a history of traffic collisions over recent years, many resulting in fatalities and serious injury, and carries high volumes of traffic at speeds up to 60mph,” he said, per The Irish Sun.
He added that near the Nutts Corner market — where the latest crash occurred — an overtaking lane continues from the Nutts Corner roundabout past the market, which he said can be especially dangerous for drivers exiting onto the main road. Kearney said he plans to write to the Department for Infrastructure’s Divisional Roads Manager to highlight those concerns.
“I want to extend my heartfelt sympathy to all those involved,” he added.
