According to the author, as Prince Harry works on reconciling with his father, King Charles III, and other royal family members, he is reportedly “separating” himself from Meghan, who is managing the aftermath of the latest season of her Netflix series. A Royal Author Says Harry Is ‘Separating’ Himself From Meghan
The 41-year-old prince has been in the headlines frequently, especially following his recent trip to England for a charity event, which also gave him a chance to see the king. This marked one of his first visits home since a court ruled that his official royal security would be provided only on a case-by-case basis.
Although Harry previously suggested in a BBC interview that he and Meghan would likely avoid returning to the UK due to safety concerns, he reportedly had tea with Charles on September 10th. This meeting is seen as part of his ongoing efforts to rebuild family ties. Yet, royal author Tom Bower notes that this reconciliation may also involve creating some distance from Meghan due to her career and public reputation.
“When he comes here, he becomes a focus of attention,” Bower told GBNews. “But of course, he is spare to Meghan or was, in her attempt to become the great television homemaker. But her series, her career, is crashing.”
Bower added, “Very cleverly, Harry has separated himself from Meghan, as she did from him, but she still needs him.”
Struggling to Find a New ‘Purpose’
While Harry seeks to mend ties with his family, Meghan, founder of As Ever, continues to navigate challenges in her career. Her latest season of the controversial Netflix series With Love, Meghan has reportedly received lower ratings than its debut, sparking criticism from viewers who question her authenticity.
Beyond her television work, Meghan’s ventures as a lifestyle brand creator have also drawn scrutiny online, which sources say may be straining her relationship with Harry as he attempts to regain favor with the royal family.
Bower described the couple as “this couple in Montecito, desperately looking for a new purpose in life.”
“The fact is, they are both looking for a purpose, and all they can do is damage the monarchy through their activities,” he added.
It remains to be seen whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will address these claims. Career-wise, however, it appears they may currently function more as individuals than as a united front.
