Theresa Troia is heading into the holidays with a full house — and a full heart.
Troia welcomed five babies — Kyla, Joseph, Jaxon, Viviana and Isabella — in June, when they were just over 28 weeks old, according to Good Morning America.
After months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the family reached a milestone last month when the final quintuplet was discharged from the NICU at HCA Healthcare’s Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare facility in Texas, just in time for the winter holiday season.
“It feels incredible. I truly don’t have words … like, my home and my heart are finally complete,” Troia, 36, told GMA.
With all five children under one roof, Troia said she’s especially grateful this year.
“Having all five here together after everything we went through in the [neonatal intensive care unit] is something I still wake up grateful for every day,” she told GMA.
The mom — who works as a regional nurse consultant for long-term care and skilled nursing facilities — reflected on how different this season feels compared to last year.
“Last Christmas, I was carrying them and just praying they would all make it here safely. Now, I get to celebrate with five healthy babies in my arms,” she said.

“Being a first-time mom, and to quintuplets, makes every holiday moment feel bigger. Every little thing means so much more,” Troia added.
Troia also shared previously that her life shifted the moment her quintuplets arrived.
“There have been moments of celebration and moments of fear, but every single one has brought us closer,” she said. “It’s taught me patience, faith, and how powerful love really is.”
A quadruplet herself, Troia has three brothers — Joseph Troia, Matthew Troia and Thomas Troia — per GMA. She said she hopes to bring the same holiday traditions she grew up with to her children.

“Christmas Eve celebration was big for me growing up so I want to do the same,” Troia said. “I really want our first Christmas to feel calm, cozy and centered around us finally being together.”
As the family settles into life at home, Troia says this holiday is about taking it all in.
“This holiday is about slowing down, soaking them in, and appreciating how far we’ve come as a little family of six … it’s about the five tiny miracles I get to hold in my arms.”
