Right-wing political commentator Tim Pool says his home in Harpers Ferry, W.Va., was targeted in a late-night shooting.
In a post on X shared on Saturday, Dec. 6, Pool wrote, “Last night, a vehicle approached our property and opened fire.”
The podcast host — who is married to producer Alison Neubauer — added that “no one was hurt” in the incident. “Our security team is reviewing the incident and will be relaying the report to appropriate law enforcement,” he wrote.
“This is the price we pay for speaking out against evil,” Pool concluded in his first message about the shooting.
In a follow-up post, he elaborated, writing, “My immediate thoughts is someone was trying to scare us. But we have a security gate and armed guards and its possible this deterred something more serious.”
Representatives for Pool did not immediately respond to a request for comment and additional details about the Dec. 6 incident.
Pool, who first gained prominence in 2011 for livestreaming the Occupy Wall Street protests, now shares his views on a wide range of political issues online — including vaccines, immigration and media coverage — and has publicly backed Donald Trump in multiple presidential election cycles.
After Pool went public about the shooting, a number of right-leaning media and political figures expressed concern and support in the comments on X.
“This is awful, Tim. I’m so sorry this happened. Things are getting out of control and it’s happening more frequently. Praying for your safety,” wrote Megyn Kelly.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene also weighed in, posting, “This is terrifying. I’m glad everyone is ok. Everyone must stand together against this type of political violence and intimidation. No matter who it happens to. Whether you like them or not.”

The incident at Pool’s residence is one of several high-profile, politically linked attacks reported in 2025.
In September, Charlie Kirk, the media personality who founded the conservative advocacy group Turning Point USA, died at age 31 after being shot during a campus event at Utah Valley University.
Earlier that year, in June, a man posing as law enforcement allegedly entered the homes of two Democratic politicians in the Minnesota suburbs, shooting two couples. One pair, Rep. Melissa Hortman and Mark Hortman, was killed, while Sen. John Hoffman and Yvette Hoffman were injured.
