Christian Pulisic is pushing back on online speculation linking him to Sydney Sweeney.
After rumors circulated that the U.S. Men’s National Team captain, 27, and the Euphoria actress, 28, were romantically involved following her March split from ex-fiancé Jonathan Davino, Pulisic addressed the claims directly on Instagram.
“Please stop with the made up stories about my personal life,” Pulisic wrote on his Instagram Stories on Dec. 28. “Need to hold sources accountable it can affect people’s lives.”
He also responded in the comments under another Instagram post that claimed he was dating the Anyone But You star, writing: “Fake news guys let’s stop with the silly rumor.”
Where the rumor came from
On Dec. 25, Italian gossip outlet Gazzetta reported that the unverified chatter began on an Instagram page called Bomber’s DNA before spreading widely online.

What’s actually known about their relationships
Reports indicate Pulisic has been dating fellow athlete Alexa Melton since 2024. Meanwhile, Sweeney has been linked to Scooter Braun since early September.
In early December, a source said the pair were serious, stating they were in a committed relationship and that things were going well.
Along with being seen together several times throughout the fall and into the holidays, the two were also photographed kissing in New York City’s Central Park in November.
After Sweeney and Braun were spotted holding hands during a night out in Los Angeles on Sept. 30, another source said the two “have a lot in common and neither one of them cares about what others think.”
The source added that Sweeney’s friends and family are “really happy about this relationship,” calling it “such a relief to see her genuinely happy.”
The same source also said Braun’s friends have been glad to see him happy after his 2022 divorce from Yael Cohen, with whom he shares three children: sons Jagger, 10, and Levi, 8, plus daughter Hart, 6.
“They say it’s been a long time since they’ve seen him this settled in a relationship, and they can tell how much he admires her,” the insider said. “He thinks she’s smart, kind, and fun, and she appreciates how he really sees her for who she is beyond all the noise.”
