Stephanie Pratt is urging Los Angeles voters not to support her brother, Spencer Pratt, in his bid for mayor, making several serious allegations against him.
More than a month after Spencer, 42, announced his campaign, Stephanie, 39, criticized the run in a series of posts on X shared Saturday, Feb. 14. She suggested he is seeking office to remain in the public eye.
In her posts, Stephanie recounted what she described as “a history” with her brother, alleging he physically assaulted her in the past, contributed to her drug use as a teenager, and was previously involved with a cult. She also referenced his long-running feud with former reality TV castmate Lauren Conrad.
Stephanie acknowledged that Spencer has been active in community issues in the Pacific Palisades, where he and his wife, Heidi Montag, filed a lawsuit against the City of Los Angeles after their home was destroyed in the Pacific Palisades fire. However, she argued that the city needs a more experienced leader and said she believes he is not qualified for the role.

She added that, in her view, the Palisades would be better served with its own local leadership, and said she would be more comfortable with Spencer focusing on that area rather than running the entire city.
Stephanie also claimed he is pursuing the campaign to promote his memoir, The Guy You Loved to Hate: Confessions from a Reality TV Villain.
Responding to criticism over her stance, she described an incident she says occurred when she was 18, alleging he assaulted her and that she was hospitalized. She also alleged he introduced her to drugs at age 15 and claimed he struggled with addiction himself.
In another post, she referenced a past arrest in Costa Rica, writing that voters should choose someone with professional experience. Spencer previously said he was arrested there in 2010 for felony firearm possession, according to TMZ. It is unclear whether the case resulted in charges or court proceedings.

Stephanie also reiterated her support for Lauren Conrad, saying she sides with those she believes are vulnerable rather than people who cause harm. She concluded by telling her brother to remain focused on the Palisades.
In a final message, Stephanie said her comments were not an attempt to seek attention. She wrote that she is pursuing training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and said her goal is to work with children and adults with autism.
Stephanie and Spencer have publicly clashed before, and she has previously criticized both her brother and Montag on social media.
