The White House Makes Glaring Typo on X Post About Joe Biden

President Donald Trump became the butt of jokes online after a misspelling appeared in an X post about former President Joe Biden from the official White House account.

Why It Matters

The post aimed to showcase Trump’s record on undocumented immigration and contrast it with Biden’s time in office. While many supporters amplified the message, the error quickly drew attention and weakened the post’s impact—prompting a wave of ridicule aimed at both Trump and the White House’s social media operation.

What To Know

The post presents side-by-side images of Trump and Biden with statistics claiming to show the number of undocumented immigrants entering the U.S. during specific time windows.

According to the graphic, between May 2023 and November 2023, Biden “let” 687,274 people into the country. It then claims that between May 2025 and November 2025, Trump allowed “zero” people to cross the border.

A caption beneath the graphic declares: “President Trump has DELIVERED on a secure border.” But viewers immediately noticed the post referred to “illegal aliens” with an extra “i,” rendering it “iilegal aliens.”

At the time of writing, the post had drawn more than 1.1 million views, over 46,000 likes, and nearly 9,000 reposts—along with a flood of reactions focused on the typo.

What People Are Saying

Many replies directly under the post were supportive.

Richard Reeves, founding president of the nonpartisan American Institute for Boys and Men (AIBM), wrote in response: “This is what I voted for.”

North Carolina Republican Congressman Mark Harris replied: “Thank you.”

Tech executive and investor Brian LaReau, who includes #MAGA in his X bio, responded: “Bam.”

It’s unclear whether these commenters missed the typo or ignored it. What stood out was the difference between the praise visible in the reply thread and the more critical responses found in the post’s engagement feed.

In that section, users mocked the misspelling.

@Rolegend_ wrote: “You idiots can’t even spell illegal damn. Was definitely hired based on merit huh.”

@easyrooster joked that President Trump had “not delivered on spelling 3rd grade reading level words correctly.”

Still, not every repost was critical. Republican Sen. John Boozman of Arkansas shared the post, writing: “The Trump administration and @SenateGOP were serious about ending open-border policies and providing the manpower and resources to regain operational control. The results speak for themselves.”

What Happens Next

Biden has not responded to the claims in the post. Some past assertions about his immigration record have already been subjected to detailed fact-checking. Meanwhile, Trump continues to attract fresh memes and mockery online, including reactions tied to his recent presidential address.
