After being priced out of plastic surgery in the U.S., TikTok creator Cayley flew to Istanbul and spent just $14,000 for a full “mommy makeover”—including travel, hotel, and surgery. She tells PEOPLE why she has no regrets.

At 35, Cayley—a popular TikTok content creator and mom of three—decided it was time to do something for herself. After years of pregnancy, childbirth, and raising young kids, she wanted a “mommy makeover,” a common cosmetic procedure package that includes a tummy tuck, breast lift with implants, and liposuction.

But when she looked into options near her home in Arizona, she was shocked: local plastic surgeons quoted her up to $40,000—a price she simply couldn’t justify.

“I have three little kids,” she tells PEOPLE. “I couldn’t spend that kind of money.”

Instead, Cayley began exploring medical tourism, eventually landing on Turkey after a quick Google search for “plastic surgery capitals.” She was drawn to Istanbul and reached out to a handful of clinics. The one she connected with the most was Dr. Safa Manav’s office, which handled all communication via WhatsApp.

“They were so warm, caring, and professional,” she says.

A $14K Makeover—and a VIP Experience

Cayley put down a deposit in February 2024 and flew to Turkey in May. Her all-inclusive plastic surgery package cost $11,000 and covered:

  • The full procedure (tummy tuck, breast lift with implants, lipo)
  • A 10-night stay in a medical hotel
  • VIP transfers to and from the airport and clinic
  • Post-surgery garments
  • Breakfast every day

She also spent about $1,500 on airfare and a few extra expenses while enjoying Istanbul with her mom, who came along for emotional support.

All in, the trip came to around $14,000—a fraction of what it would’ve cost in the U.S.

Cayley says she felt well cared for during the process, including two nights in a hospital after her surgery, followed by nurse visits back at her hotel. “The first few days were tough,” she admits. “But having that time away from my kids to really rest was exactly what I needed.”

Once she began to heal, she and her mom explored the city. “It was actually a great recovery,” she says. “I got to enjoy Turkey too.”

Documenting the Journey on TikTok

Cayley has been sharing her recovery and transformation with her nearly 300,000 TikTok followers, showing before-and-after photos and walking viewers through the process.

Not all the feedback has been kind.

“I had to filter my comments,” she says. “People were being aggressive and even xenophobic. They acted like complications don’t happen in the U.S. too—which they absolutely do.”

Still, Cayley says she had a “fantastic” experience. Her husband has also been completely supportive. “He told me, ‘Whatever makes you happy,’” she shares.

“Worth Every Penny”

Now almost fully healed, Cayley says she’s regained her confidence—and loves the way she looks in a bikini again.

“I feel like myself,” she says. “The value I got for what I paid? Completely worth it.”

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reported in 2022 that U.S.-based mommy makeovers can cost upwards of $20,000, depending on location and procedure scope. Cayley knows medical tourism isn’t for everyone—but for her, it was the right choice.

“Everyone’s recovery is different, and not every doctor is the same,” she says. “But I did my research, and I have zero regrets.”
