Skateboarding icon Tony Hawk has publicly rejected online claims that he was married on property owned by Jeffrey Epstein, calling the allegation false and unsupported by facts.
The claim surfaced after the U.S. Department of Justice released a large cache of records related to Epstein, the late financier who died in federal custody in 2019 while facing trafficking charges. The documents include emails, texts, and attachments gathered during past investigations and tip reviews. Since their release, a wide range of public figures have been referenced across social media, often without clear context.
Hawk’s name appeared in a single FBI tip summary contained in the records. The document recounts allegations relayed by an individual describing abuse by multiple unnamed figures over many years. Within that account, the person claimed to have been on Epstein’s private island at a time when “Tony Hawk got married” there. The document does not present corroborating evidence, and the agent’s summary reflects unverified claims reported to a federal tip line.
Hawk responded by posting a detailed timeline of his weddings, emphasizing that none took place on Epstein’s island or involved Epstein in any way. He listed four ceremonies held between 1990 and 2015, all at publicly known locations in California, Fiji, and Ireland.
He further addressed speculation tied to his 2006 wedding in Fiji, explaining that photographs from the event were later licensed to Getty Images by a photographer who happened to share Epstein’s surname. Hawk said the photographer is not related to Jeffrey Epstein and that the coincidence appears to have fueled online confusion.
In his statement, Hawk said he has never met Epstein and has never visited Little Saint James, the private island frequently associated with the financier’s crimes. He described the viral claim as inaccurate and said the publicly available record contradicts it.
