Travis Kelce Calls Taylor Swift the ‘Love of My Life’ in Romantic Letter, Says He Was ‘Mesmerized’ First Time He Saw Her

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce appear perfectly in sync — and a new moment from her Eras Tour docuseries shows why.

In episode six of Swift’s series Taylor Swift: The End of an Era, titled “Remember This Moment,” the singer reads a romantic note from Kelce backstage ahead of her final three Vancouver shows in December 2024. In the scene, Swift is with her mother, Andrea Swift, as she shares parts of the letter aloud — including Kelce’s message calling her “the love of my life.”

“So many unbelievable memories on this tour but my favorite one is seeing you in concert for the first time and being mesmerized and swept off my feet by a woman who doesn’t even know me,” she reads.

She continues, reflecting on the night the tour brought her to Kansas City — and how that stop led to something far bigger.

“Selfishly I say thank you for creating this legendary tour and to Robert [Allen] for making you stop through Kansas City, Missouri, that night too in KC was the beginning of me meeting the love of my life,” Swift reads.

Swift then appears to finish the note silently, reacting with an emotional laugh.

“Aww my God!” she says. “So much for no emotions on the last three shows,” she adds, turning to her mom.

The tender reveal comes shortly after Swift referenced Kelce as “the love of my life” during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Dec. 10, while reflecting on her engagement and other major milestones in 2025.

“Getting engaged to the love of my life, getting all my music back. Those were two things that just might never have happened. They could have just never happened. It wasn’t like, ‘Oh, it’s just a matter of time.’ ” she told host Stephen Colbert.

“Both of those things could have just never arrived in my life, and I’m so grateful for both of those things happening,” she added.

Kelce first attended Swift’s Eras Tour in July 2023 at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium and later admitted he tried — unsuccessfully — to meet her afterward. He shared that story on New Heights, the podcast he hosts with his brother Jason Kelce, explaining he’d even made a personalized friendship bracelet with his number on it and felt “a little butthurt” when he couldn’t give it to her.

In a preview for the docuseries, Swift references that same moment, calling it the unexpected start of what became deeply meaningful.

“The most meaningful relationship I’ve ever had started with a man saying that he was butthurt that I didn’t want to meet him… Greatest surprise of my life.”⁠

Later in the series, Swift and Andrea discuss how Kelce’s public “friendship bracelet” attempt caught attention — and how Andrea decided to learn more about him.

Andrea recalls seeing the headlines, then calling her “resident expert” on the Chiefs — her cousin Robin — to ask about Kelce.

“She goes, ‘Oh my God, he is the nicest guy! And he really loves his mom.’ And I went, ‘Ding, ding, ding, ding,’ ” Andrea says with a laugh. “And then I said, ‘Now, how in the world am I going to get her to meet him?’ ”

Swift jokes that she wasn’t exactly sports-minded at the time, remembering her mom calling her with a cautious tone.

Admitting she was “very non-athlete” before meeting Travis, Swift recalls her mom saying, “Hey, I know you’re not gonna react well to this, but there’s a guy…”

“He’s really cute!” Andrea adds.

“You said something to the effect of, ‘You gotta start doing something different,’ ” Swift says, laughing.

Andrea also describes the bracelet gesture as especially thoughtful — a sweet attempt to connect with Swift using something from her world.

“To me that really said a lot. So I thought that was really sweet and I liked it,” Andrea says.
