Travis Kelce, 35, is sharing the first chapter of his love story with Taylor Swift.
In a new interview with GQ published on Tuesday, Aug. 12, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end recalled how he “fell in love” with the 35-year-old pop superstar when their relationship first began.
“Nothing I’ve ever done has been a controlled or planned process. It was so natural — we fell in love just by being ourselves around the people in the room,” Kelce said.
He explained that their similar personalities were the main reason their romance started and that their bond has only grown stronger since they confirmed their relationship in October 2023.
“We’re two fun-loving people who respect everyone for who they are,” Kelce said. “We share the same values, and it just took off from there.”

Rumors about the couple started in September 2023, when Swift attended several of Kelce’s NFL games. They made their relationship public the following month, holding hands at a Saturday Night Live afterparty.
Since then, Kelce and Swift have appeared together at major events like the Super Bowl, the US Open, and Coachella. In June 2025, they made their red carpet debut at Kelce’s Tight End University event in Nashville.
Two months later, it was announced that Swift would be a guest on New Heights, the podcast Kelce cohosts with his brother, Jason Kelce. Shortly after, Swift revealed the title of her upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, during a teaser for the podcast posted on Instagram at 12:12 a.m. ET.
In the clip, Swift showed the brothers a mint green briefcase with her initials, “T.S.,” on it. Inside was the new album. While the album cover remains blurred on her website, fans can pre-order it in vinyl, cassette, or CD formats. The CD version will include a poster, but the track list has not yet been revealed.
