President Donald Trump spent Labor Day on the golf course as questions about his health continued to circulate.

On Monday, Sept. 1, Trump was seen leaving the White House for his Trump National Golf Course in Sterling, Virginia. According to the White House press pool, he played golf for about five and a half hours before returning.

The outing came just one day after his son, Eric Trump, 41, pushed back on online rumors claiming his father had died. The hashtags “Trump Is Dead” and “Where Is Trump?” trended on X on Friday, Aug. 29, after Vice President J.D. Vance made comments about the president’s health.

Eric reposted a message quoting his father saying, “I’ve never felt better in my life,” and added, “The radical left is so sick and twisted…”

In an interview with USA Today last week, Vance, 41, addressed the rumors and discussed being prepared if anything were to happen to Trump.

“Yes, terrible tragedies happen. But I feel very confident the President of the United States is in good shape, is going to serve out the remainder of his term and do great things for the American people,” Vance said.

He added, “And if, God forbid, there’s a terrible tragedy, I can’t think of better on-the-job training than what I’ve gotten over the last 200 days.”

Speculation about Trump’s health also surfaced earlier in the week when photos showed a bruise on his hand.

After reporters asked about it, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt explained that the bruising came from Trump “shaking hands all day, every day.”

White House physician Sean Barbarella also released a note in July, saying the bruising was “consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen.”

That same month, Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency after appearing with swollen ankles. Barbarella described it as “a benign and common condition, particularly in individuals over the age of 70.”

Despite the diagnosis, Barbarella wrote that Trump “remains in excellent health.”
