President Donald Trump erupted on social media Wednesday morning, unleashing an extended rant in response to a New York Times article suggesting he may be showing “signs of fatigue” and working “shorter days.”

The story, written by Katie Rogers and Dylan Freedman and published Tuesday, reported that the 79-year-old president’s efforts to project “round-the-clock energy, virility and physical stamina” are becoming harder to maintain. It cited moments such as Trump appearing to nod off during an Oval Office event and a recent pullback in his official public schedule.

Trump fired back with a lengthy post of more than 300 words on his Truth Social platform.

“The Creeps at the Failing New York Times are at it again,” he began, before pivoting to brag about his 2024 election performance — including a typo in which he claimed to have won “one our Nation’s Districts by 2750 to 550, a complete wipeout.”

He went on to recycle familiar talking points about his handling of the economy, his role in securing ceasefires and his claims about bringing down inflation.

Then Trump returned to attacking the premise of the report.

Trump Absolutely Loses It Over NYT Story On His Energy, Calls Female Reporter ‘Ugly’

“To do this requires a lot of Work and Energy, and I have never worked so hard in my life,” he wrote, insisting that “Radical Left Lunatics in the soon to fold New York Times” were wrongly suggesting he was losing steam, “despite facts that show the exact opposite.”

“They know this is wrong, as is almost every thing that they write about me, including election results, ALL PURPOSELY NEGATIVE,” he added, branding the newspaper a “cheap ‘RAG’” and “truly an ‘ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE.’”

Trump then singled out Rogers personally, claiming she “is assigned to write only bad things about me, is a third rate reporter” and, echoing his recent “Quiet, Piggy” jab at another female journalist, declared that she is “ugly, both inside and out.”

He closed by insisting his health and mental sharpness remain intact: “There will be a day when I run low on Energy, it happens to everyone, but with a PERFECT PHYSICAL EXAM AND A COMPREHENSIVE COGNITIVE TEST (‘That was aced’) JUST RECENTLY TAKEN, it certainly is not now!”
