Former President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that the United States had carried out what he called a “very successful attack” on three major nuclear sites in Iran: Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.
In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote:
“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home.”
Trump praised U.S. military personnel, writing, “Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this.” He ended the post with, “NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!”
The announcement comes amid heightened tensions in the region and growing concerns over the potential fallout from the strikes.
