President Donald Trump publicly welcomed back the B-2 stealth bomber pilots involved in Saturday night’s high-profile airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, praising their execution of what the administration called a “very successful” operation.

In a post on his Truth Social platform Sunday evening, Trump shared video footage of a B-2 Spirit bomber landing at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.

“The GREAT B-2 pilots have just landed, safely, in Missouri,” Trump wrote. “Thank you for a job well done!!!”

The footage marked the return of the aircraft following Operation Midnight Hammer, which targeted three major nuclear enrichment sites in Iran—Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan. The video featured on Trump’s platform claimed the bombings caused “monumental” damage and were “hard and accurate.”

Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX), a U.S. Army veteran, also acknowledged the pilots on social media, writing, “Welcome home,” alongside the video of the landing.

High-Stakes Mission Involved Over 125 Aircraft

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine confirmed that more than 125 aircraft were involved in the coordinated strike. Multiple B-2 bombers played a key role, each carrying the Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP)—a 30,000-pound bunker-busting bomb designed to destroy fortified underground structures.

The B-2s were launched from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, which houses the U.S. military’s entire fleet of 19 B-2 bombers. Natanz and Fordow, both hardened underground facilities central to Iran’s uranium enrichment program, were among the primary targets of the MOP strikes.

The mission marks one of the most significant escalations in the ongoing tensions between the United States, Iran, and regional players, particularly following earlier Israeli airstrikes. The full scope of the damage to Iran’s nuclear infrastructure is still being assessed.
