A Kansas woman who was reported missing was found dead the next morning, authorities said.
Amber J. Foster, 45, was last seen around 5:53 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, walking on foot toward the Canyon Farms Golf Course near W. 87th Street Parkway and Winchester in Lenexa, according to a statement from the Lenexa Police Department.
Investigators later located Foster’s vehicle in a nearby parking garage. On the morning of Monday, Dec. 15, police said Foster was found dead in the 17800 block of W. 86th Street — less than a mile from where she was last seen.
Foster had been missing for roughly 30 hours before her body was discovered, CBS affiliate KCTV reported. At the time she went missing, she was wearing an orange T-shirt over a long-sleeve white shirt and blue jeans.
Master police officer Danny Chavez of the Lenexa Police Department said there were no obvious signs of foul play, according to The Kansas City Star.
Authorities have not released a cause of death. The investigation remains ongoing.
