A 26-year-old woman from St. Louis has been missing for more than a month after traveling to Washington State to visit Olympic National Park. Her rental vehicle was later found near the park.

April Boulia told NBC affiliate KSDK that her daughter, Alleacya, left St. Louis Lambert International Airport on Nov. 6 and flew to Port Angeles, Wash., for what she described as an outdoor-focused vacation.

A Dec. 2 missing persons bulletin from the National Park Service states that Alleacya was last seen shopping in Port Angeles on Nov. 17. April later told KSDK that her daughter sent her a photo and a message on Nov. 18 after arriving in Washington.

“And she said, ‘I just want you to now that I’m safe, I’m okay and I love you,’” April recalled.

Family members became concerned when they stopped hearing from Alleacya. Her mother said it was out of character for her not to stay in touch.

According to the National Park Service, Alleacya was reported missing on Nov. 27. Authorities later located her rental car — described as a 2025 Black Ford Bronco Sport — on Nov. 30 in a parking lot near the Sol Duc Trailhead in Olympic National Park. A search began that same day.

“Local search and rescue teams have been patrolling the Sol Duc area with dogs, drones, and on foot,” the National Park Service said in its bulletin. “A technical team has searched the river corridor.”

April told KSDK that investigators found Alleacya’s camping gear and three Subway sandwiches she had purchased at a Washington-area Walmart. She also said police discovered an Olympic Park maintenance worker’s checklist and pool-related equipment, which she described as unusual.

“The park officials also told me that man was questioned and that he was not being called a suspect,” April said, according to the outlet.

Authorities describe Alleacya as 5’7” and 135 pounds, with dark, curly hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo on her left arm.

In a Wednesday, Dec. 17 update, the National Park Service said the search has shifted to a “clue-responsive, limited continuous phase,” meaning teams will return to the field in response to new information. The agency said searchers have explored trails and areas in the Sol Duc Valley potentially connected to Alleacya, adding that high winds have hampered operations for six days.

“The investigation remains active and ongoing,” officials added.

April said the family’s focus is on bringing Alleacya home.

“I just have this knot in my stomach. I have this gut feeling that something was seriously wrong,” she told KSDK.
