World leaders caught mocking Trump at NATO summit, lip reader reveals: ‘What a tosser’

Nicola Hickling, a professional lip reader, claimed that Donald Trump was mocked during the recent NATO summit in the Netherlands.

At the recent NATO summit in the Netherlands, subtle gestures and hushed exchanges among several world leaders reportedly centered around U.S. President Donald Trump, who continues to face scrutiny both domestically and internationally. According to expert lip reader Nicola Hickling, some of the conversation appeared to mock Trump directly.

Lip Reader Reveals Private NATO Exchange

Hickling, who specializes in decoding speech without audio, observed a conversation between NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Croatian President Zoran Milanović, and Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof. She claimed the trio’s dialogue veered toward Trump, and the tone wasn’t exactly respectful.

According to Hickling, Rutte casually asked Milanović, “Did you get together at all?”—a seemingly innocent question that carried a deeper, possibly sarcastic undertone based on his body language.

Milanović’s response, however, was unmistakably sarcastic: “This is the Prime Minister of the USA. What a tosser. He wants to meet in France and speak there.” The word “tosser,” commonly used in parts of Europe, is a derogatory term for someone perceived as foolish or irritating.

Visibly surprised, Schoof reportedly asked, “Are you mad?” Milanović responded vaguely: “It depends what he wants.”

Schoof then repeated, “You are mad,” according to Hickling’s reading. Milanović added, “Obviously it affects the world, doesn’t it?” to which Rutte agreed, saying, “Yes, it does.”

Milanović ended the exchange with a repeated insult, again calling Trump a “tosser.”

Lip Reading and Political Tension

Nicola Hickling, who runs a professional lip-reading consultancy called LipReader, often works with legal professionals, historians, and media outlets to interpret silent footage. Her observations are not officially confirmed but have garnered attention due to their timing—especially as questions swirl around Trump’s behavior and physical appearance at recent public events.

This isn’t the first time Trump has drawn attention before a NATO summit. Earlier, reports circulated about a possible wardrobe malfunction that led to online speculation about his mental state.

Trump’s Comments on NATO Commitments

Meanwhile, Trump himself stirred further uncertainty during remarks on Air Force One, where he was asked about Article 5 of the NATO treaty—an agreement that states if one NATO member is attacked, the others will come to its defense.

“Depends on your definition,” Trump said. “There’s numerous definitions of Article 5. You know that, right? But I’m committed to being their friends.”

He added that he would explain more about his stance once at the summit.

With NATO unity under the spotlight and Trump’s comments and behavior under close watch, the private conversations—if Hickling’s account is accurate—may reflect a growing unease among allies.
