Former Vice President Kamala Harris announced Thursday that she will publish a memoir chronicling her brief and controversial 2024 presidential campaign, launched after President Joe Biden exited the race.

Titled “107 Days,” the book is scheduled for release on September 23 and will offer what Harris describes as a candid, behind-the-scenes account of her experience “leading the shortest presidential campaign in modern history.”

“I wrote this with candor and reflection,” Harris said. “There is value in sharing what I saw, what I learned, and what I know it will take to move forward.”

Social Media Roasts Announcement

Her video announcement was met with immediate criticism across social media. One user wrote, “How are you not embarrassed to have run one of the worst presidential campaigns in history? You literally had rappers twerking at your events.”

Another commented, “You wrote a book? You couldn’t make it through a speech without a teleprompter, but people are supposed to believe you wrote a book?” Others mocked the project as “a book full of word salad.”

Harris’s Campaign and Controversies

The memoir arrives over a year after Biden’s July 2024 withdrawal from the presidential race following a disastrous debate against then-candidate Donald Trump, who went on to secure a second term in a historic political comeback. At the time, Biden did not immediately endorse Harris, who emerged as the Democratic frontrunner heading into the party’s convention in Chicago.

In a 60 Minutes interview last October, Harris stated she was “elected” the party’s nominee — a claim later flagged as misleading. As Breitbart News pointed out, “Harris, though she won the majority of delegates to become the party’s nominee, won zero votes in the Democratic primary process.”

More recently, President Trump accused Harris’s campaign of illegal activity, alleging payments were made to celebrities — including Beyoncé and Oprah Winfrey — in exchange for endorsements.

“YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PAY FOR AN ENDORSEMENT,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “IT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL TO DO SO… Kamala, and all of those that received Endorsement money, BROKE THE LAW. They should all be prosecuted!”

Looking Ahead

Harris, who has recently ruled out a 2026 run for California governor, continues to be a lightning rod for criticism from both the left and the right. Meanwhile, Biden is reportedly preparing to publish his own memoir — reportedly selling the rights for $10 million.
