Epstein Accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell Has Been Moved to the Same Prison as Disgraced Ex-Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes

Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted *** trafficker and longtime accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein, has been quietly transferred to a minimum-security federal prison camp in Texas — the same facility where disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes is currently serving time.

A spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) confirmed via email that Maxwell, convicted for procuring minors for Epstein, was relocated on July 31 to the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Bryan — a minimum-security facility for women located roughly 100 miles northwest of Houston.

Previously, she had been serving her sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Tallahassee, a low-security prison. Within the BOP classification system, minimum-security facilities offer more leniency compared to low-security ones.

According to the BOP website, FPC Bryan features dormitory-style housing, a relatively low staff-to-inmate ratio, and little to no perimeter fencing — a stark contrast to the double-fenced security at her former prison in Tallahassee.

While the BOP did not disclose the exact reason for the transfer, a spokesperson outlined general considerations in such decisions: “the level of security and supervision the inmate requires, any medical or programming needs, separation, security measures to ensure the individual’s protection, and other considerations, including proximity to the individual’s release residence.”

Maxwell’s attorney, David Markus, did not respond to a request for comment.

Maxwell joins other high-profile inmates at FPC Bryan, including Holmes, who is serving an 11-and-a-quarter-year sentence for wire fraud linked to her failed blood-testing startup Theranos, and Jen Shah, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, currently serving a five-and-a-half-year term for her role in a telemarketing fraud scheme.

Maxwell is reportedly pursuing a pardon or sentence commutation from President Donald Trump, allegedly in exchange for information about Epstein’s former associates. Epstein died in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019 in what was ruled a suicide while awaiting trial on *** trafficking charges.

She recently met with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche and reportedly discussed up to 100 names tied to Epstein. Maxwell has been subpoenaed to testify before Congress but has indicated she will invoke her Fifth Amendment rights unless granted immunity.

Additionally, she is petitioning the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn her conviction, arguing that she is protected under Epstein’s controversial 2008 non-prosecution agreement, which required him to register as a ***

offender.

Sigrid McCawley, attorney for several of Epstein’s victims, including the late Virginia Giuffre, called Maxwell’s prison downgrade “beyond troubling.”

“Any action by the government, including the Deputy Attorney General’s meetings last week and now this, that might lead to giving leniency or pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell cannot be tolerated,” McCawley said. “Ghislaine Maxwell was Jeffrey Epstein’s co-conspirator. She was convicted of committing odious crimes. And now is the time, the day, and the hour for survivors to rise up and use their brave voices to demand that Ghislaine Maxwell remain in prison.”

The development comes amid renewed attention on President Trump’s handling of Epstein-related files and his longstanding personal ties to the disgraced financier.

According to reports, Trump was informed by his own attorney general that his name appeared in the Epstein files. He has since sued the Wall Street Journal over its coverage of a suggestive birthday card he allegedly sent Epstein, where he remarked that they shared “certain things in common.”

This week, Trump told reporters he and Epstein had a falling out after Epstein allegedly “stole” Virginia Giuffre — then a teenage spa attendant — from Mar-a-Lago. Giuffre, who died by suicide in April, had long maintained that Epstein trafficked her to high-profile individuals, including Britain’s Prince Andrew, who settled her lawsuit but denied the allegations.

In a statement, Giuffre’s family described Trump’s remarks as “shocking,” adding: “It makes us ask if he was aware of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s criminal actions.”
