Collin Gosselin Posts Emotional Message About His Siblings Being ‘Forced Apart, Pitted Against Each Other’

Collin Gosselin, one of Kate and Jon Gosselin’s sextuplets, recently opened up about how growing up on reality TV affected his family. In a TikTok post on August 7, the 21-year-old shared a childhood photo of himself with his seven siblings — twins Mady and Cara (now 24) and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Leah, and Joel.

“Born to be a team, us against the world,” Collin wrote, with Adele’s 2007 song Hometown Glory playing in the background.

In another photo, he reflected on feeling isolated: “Forced to do it alone, and wonder every day what our lives could’ve looked like. Forced apart, pitted against each other. All the fame and money in the world, but what about kids being kids?”

Collin said he still loves his siblings deeply. “The tears I shed behind closed doors, thinking about the memories we could’ve shared. I love you guys,” he wrote.

When asked about his relationship with Hannah, Collin said, “I just saw her today! She’s so funny and I love her so much. We’re both busy with work and school, but seeing her makes my day.”

Collin, who is estranged from his mother, repeated past abuse claims against Kate Gosselin. He said he experienced “physical and emotional abuse” while being part of her “circus on TV,” including being “locked up, isolated, zip tied,” and sent away when he didn’t “fit the equation.” He recalled being completely cut off at age 12 except for one visit, where Kate allegedly told him he “deserved” the situation.

He also shared his hopes for the future: “I can’t wait to have kids and teach them the importance of siblings. I tell my friends to always value their brothers and sisters.”

In past interviews, Collin accused Kate of isolating him in a locked basement room with cameras and a mattress. Kate’s lawyer has declined to comment on these newest claims, saying she believes comments about the situation are often “taken out of context.”

Some siblings have also spoken out against Collin. Mady Gosselin said in 2023 that she no longer talks to him due to past threats and “hateful behavior” toward others.

Jon and Kate divorced in 2009, with Kate receiving custody of the children. In 2016, she sent Collin to a behavioral health institution, citing “unpredictable and violent behavior.” In 2018, Jon gained custody of Collin and Hannah. They both graduated high school in 2023. Collin later joined the Marines but was discharged in August 2023.
