A bride and groom made sure to share their wedding day with their “200 grandparents.”
Taylor Orlando met her husband, Jason, while the two were working at Baywinde Senior Living Center in Webster, N.Y., according to RochesterFirst. For years, Taylor has affectionately referred to the residents as her “200 grandparents,” and she couldn’t imagine getting married without them.
“I’m excited to celebrate this big chapter of my life with them,” Taylor said on her wedding day.
The couple tied the knot on Saturday, Aug. 9, then hosted a second ceremony that evening at the senior living center so the residents could be part of the celebration.
“My senior year of high school, I met my husband here. I was a server, he was working maintenance,” Taylor explained. “We just kinda crossed paths, connected there, and then the rest is history.”

Taylor, who started at Baywinde as a server at age 15, is now the dining services director.
“Being a dining director, I don’t look like this most of the time at work, so I think it’s going to throw them off a little bit seeing me done up,” she joked while dressed in her wedding gown.
For her big day, Taylor wore her hair in an elegant updo with soft curled pieces framing her face. She chose a sleeveless gown, simple jewelry, and natural makeup.
News footage showed her embracing several of the residents, sharing hugs and laughter with the people who have been such a meaningful part of her journey.
