A Virginia man has been charged with the murder of his mother, Travis Renee Baldwin, a Newsmax makeup artist who also worked with Greta Van Susteren.

Authorities in Arlington, Va., say 27-year-old Logan Chrisinger shot and killed Baldwin, 57, inside a residence on Aug. 17.

Police were called to the home that morning following reports of a shooting.

“Upon arrival, officers located an adult female inside a residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound,” Arlington County police stated. “Officers administered lifesaving measures before medics transported her to a local hospital. She later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.”

The department classified the incident as a “domestic-related homicide.”

Chrisinger was present when police arrived and now faces charges including first-degree murder, aggravated malicious wounding, and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

It is not yet clear whether Chrisinger has entered a plea or retained legal representation.

Reacting to the tragedy, Van Susteren wrote on X: “What sadness … my Newsmax make up artist of 3 1/2 years, and years at [ABC] and [ESPN] etc. and a friend to all of her colleagues…was murdered over the weekend…she did my make up Friday for the show and of course I never dreamed that would be the last time I would see her….”
