Newly released body camera footage shows the arrest of a man dressed in a Chuck E. Cheese mascot costume in Florida.

The man, identified as Jermell J. Jones, was working his shift at the restaurant on Wednesday, July 23, when officers entered and placed him under arrest, PEOPLE reported.

In the footage released by the Tallahassee Police Department, officers can be seen struggling to handcuff Jones at first, telling him to “stop resisting” before pulling his arms behind his back.

“Come with me Chuck E.,” one officer says while leading him out of the restaurant and into the parking lot.

After patting him down and removing the mascot head, an officer tells Jones he is accused of “some fraud stuff with a credit card.” Jones denies this, insisting he only uses his own Cash App account.

Later, Jones admitted to officers that he sometimes used a cousin’s card, identifying her only as “Key,” according to a police report obtained by CBS Miami.

This came after a woman at the scene told police she had video evidence showing Jones making fraudulent purchases with her child support debit card. She said she last used the card on June 28 during her child’s birthday party at the restaurant.

Police said they found the woman’s debit card in Jones’ pocket during the arrest. Investigators also reviewed store surveillance video and transaction logs that allegedly showed the card was used at multiple locations.

According to The Tallahassee Democrat, Jones was charged with three felonies: theft of a credit card, criminal use of personal identification information, and fraudulent use of a credit card more than twice within six months.

A Chuck E. Cheese spokesperson said in a statement to PEOPLE, “We have taken the appropriate action concerning the subject employee.”

Jones was booked into jail and released the next morning on a $1,000 bond.
