A 31-year-old North Carolina mother has been missing for nearly a week, and her family says alarm bells are ringing because she would never willingly leave her 2-year-old son.
Frezja Matisse Baker, 31, was last seen at 1323 Lasalle Street in Charlotte at 9:52 p.m. local time on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, according to a news release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD).
She was last known to be driving a gray-blue 2004 Honda Accord with a South Carolina temporary license plate number HBL5984A. The vehicle has also not been located.
Additionally, her family told NBC affiliate WCNC that she was seen with a man they described as an associate, though they did not provide further details.
Police said the case remains an active investigation and that all currently available information is included in their press release. They added that any updates will be shared with the media when available.
Frezja’s brother, Fred Baker, said she dropped her son off at their grandparents’ house after a dentist appointment on Thursday, according to CBS affiliate WBTV.

Around 10:30 p.m., he said she called to say she was about an hour away — but she never arrived and has not been heard from since, ABC affiliate WSOC-TV reported.
“My sister never came home,” Fred told the outlet. “She always come home to check on her kid.”
Frezja is described as a Black woman, 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighing about 180 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
According to CMPD, she was last seen wearing a black, long-sleeve shirt with the word “Panthers” written on the chest in white and blue font, dark-colored leggings and white shoes. She was also carrying a black purse with a gold-colored strap.
Anyone with information about Frezja or the location of her vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, CMPD said.
“I just want my baby home, I just want her home, I just want her home, in good health and good, that’s all,” Frezja’s mother said, according to WSOC-TV.
