Emergency dispatch records indicate that Victoria Jones, the daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, may have died from a drug overdose.

Victoria, 34, was found unresponsive early Thursday morning, Jan. 1, at the San Francisco Fairmont Hotel, where she was pronounced dead. According to emergency dispatch audio, the incident was classified as a “code 3 for the overdose, color change.”

In overdose cases, “color change” commonly refers to cyanosis — a condition caused by low oxygen levels in the blood, often associated with heart or lung distress — which can result in a blue or purple tint to the skin, lips, or nails.

San Francisco Police and the San Francisco Fire Department responded to a report of a medical emergency at the Fairmont at approximately 2:52 a.m. on Jan. 1. Authorities confirmed that responders found a deceased individual at the scene, though the person had not yet been publicly identified at that time.

NBC Bay Area later reported that the woman found dead at the hotel is believed to be Victoria Jones, citing a police source.

A police source told NBC Bay Area that investigators do not suspect foul play. The official cause of death has not yet been determined.

Victoria was the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones, 79, and his ex-wife Kimberlea Cloughley. The former couple also share a son, Austin Jones, 43.

Court records show that Victoria had been arrested at least twice in the past year. On April 28, 2025, she was taken into custody in Napa County, California, and charged with three misdemeanors: obstructing a peace officer, being under the influence of a controlled substance without a valid prescription, and possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription. She pleaded not guilty to those charges.

Nearly two months later, on June 17, she was arrested again in Napa County and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery. She entered a not guilty plea on July 1.

Victoria also pursued acting, appearing in several film and television projects. Her credits included a role in Men in Black II (2002), The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005), and a brief appearance on the television series One Tree Hill in 2003.
