Britney Spears Suffers Wardrobe Malfunction While Dancing in a See-Through Dress to Christina Aguilera Song

Britney Spears is starting the year in motion.

On Sunday, Jan. 4, the 44-year-old pop icon shared a video on Instagram showing herself dancing to Christina Aguilera’s song “I Am.” In the clip, Spears twirls around a room wearing a sheer dress layered over an animal-print bra and panties. At one point, she briefly adjusts her outfit mid-dance, covering herself with a pink flower emoji.

In the caption, written in French, Spears explained that she had rediscovered the video while unpacking and decided to share it after all. “Found something in my luggage… well, you know… I never posted this! Well, whatever, I decided to reconsider. omg I had completely forgot… darn it,” she wrote.

Later the same day, Spears posted two additional dance clips. One featured her moving freely in a light pink dress, while another showed her dancing to classical music.

Sharing dance videos has long been a staple of Spears’ social media presence. In the past, she has danced to tracks like Justin Timberlake’s 2003 hit “Señorita,” as well as “Scream” by Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson.

In a 2021 Instagram post, Spears addressed critics of her videos directly, writing that if viewers didn’t want to see her dancing at home, they were free to look elsewhere.

Her choice to dance to a song by Aguilera also drew attention, given the public history between the two stars. After both rose to fame as children on Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club, Spears and Aguilera became two of the biggest pop artists of the late 1990s. Though often compared and pitted against each other early in their careers, they have generally expressed mutual support over the years.

Following the end of Spears’ conservatorship in 2021, Aguilera publicly voiced her support on multiple occasions. Spears has also spoken warmly about Aguilera, once saying she is inspired by her and describing her as “a beautiful woman of power.”
