A physical altercation involving Grammynominated rapper Ice Spice is drawing scrutiny after surveillance footage surfaced showing what her legal team describes as an “unprovoked attack” inside a California fast-food restaurant.

According to video obtained and published by TMZ, the incident occurred early Wednesday, April 15, at a McDonald’s location. The footage shows the artist, born Isis Gaston, seated across from a female companion when an unidentified woman entered the restaurant and approached their booth.

The woman is seen attempting to join the table before initiating conversation, reportedly asking the rapper where she was from. Moments later, the interaction escalated. Ice Spice appears to gesture toward the exit, signaling the woman to leave. Instead, the individual moved closer and struck the rapper, triggering a brief physical struggle captured on camera.

The footage shows Ice Spice reacting quickly, climbing across nearby tables as the altercation continued. The alleged attacker was then escorted outside by a man believed to be accompanying her.

In subsequent clips, also published by TMZ, tensions remained high outside the restaurant. The rapper is seen confronting the man while bystanders attempted to de-escalate the situation. The man reportedly claimed the woman was intoxicated.

A second confrontation allegedly occurred moments later as the group crossed the street, though details remain unclear.

Ice Spice’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, confirmed that the incident has been reported to the Los Angeles Police Department. In a statement, Cohen said his client intends to pursue both criminal and civil action.

“We will be pursuing any and all avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible,” Cohen said, adding that legal options may extend to the restaurant location for “lack of appropriate security.”

The alleged attacker, identified by TMZ as Vayah, disputed the characterization of events. She claimed she initially approached the rapper to offer a compliment but alleged the situation escalated after Ice Spice responded dismissively. Vayah admitted to confronting the rapper again after being escorted out, citing continued verbal exchanges.

Authorities have not yet confirmed whether charges have been filed. Representatives for Ice Spice and the LAPD have not issued formal public statements as of publication.

The incident underscores ongoing concerns around celebrity safety in public spaces, particularly in late-night or early-morning settings where security presence may be limited.
