WASHINGTON, D.C. — Attorney General Pam Bondi on Saturday announced that all federal charges have been dropped against Dr. Kirk Moore, the Utah-based plastic surgeon who had been accused of destroying COVID-19 vaccines and issuing fake vaccination cards at the request of parents.

“At my direction, @TheJusticeDept has dismissed charges against Dr. Kirk Moore,” Bondi posted on X. “He gave his patients a choice when the federal government refused to do so. He did not deserve the years in prison he was facing. It ends today.”

Dr. Moore, who was facing decades behind bars, had been on trial for allegedly disposing of more than $28,000 worth of COVID-19 vaccines and fraudulently issuing hundreds of fake vaccine cards. Prosecutors said Moore and three others operated a scheme out of the Plastic Surgery Institute of Utah to deceive the CDC and the federal government.

The case was originally brought under the Biden administration in early 2023, but became a lightning rod for conservative criticism over alleged federal overreach during the pandemic.

Greene, RFK Jr. Applaud Decision

The decision to drop charges drew immediate praise from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., who had been urging Bondi to intervene.

“Thank you AG Pam Bondi for dropping the WRONGFUL charges against Dr. Kirk Moore!” Greene wrote on X. “Thankfully, as soon as I brought this case to Pam Bondi’s attention, she acted. This is a big win!”

Bondi credited Greene for bringing the case to her office.

“This would not have happened without @RepMTG,” Bondi said. “She has been a warrior for Dr. Moore and for ending the weaponization of government.”

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had also previously called Moore a “hero” and praised him for “his commitment to healing.”

Trial Dropped as Epstein Fallout Grows

While Bondi’s dismissal of the case won applause from Trump loyalists, it comes at a time of heightened scrutiny. Some Trump supporters have called for her resignation after the Justice Department released a joint review with the FBI last week concluding there was no “Epstein client list” and affirming that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide in 2019.

A newly released surveillance video from Epstein’s jail cell — missing about one minute of footage — has fueled fresh conspiracy theories about a government cover-up.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, who reportedly clashed with Bondi over the Epstein report, is now said to be considering resignation, according to sources.

“Fox & Friends Weekend” also reported Saturday on growing tensions between Bongino and Bondi, particularly over how the Epstein investigation was handled.

Trump Backs Bondi

Despite the controversy, the Trump administration stood firmly behind Bondi.

“President Trump is proud of Attorney General Bondi’s efforts to execute his Make America Safe Again agenda, restore integrity to the DOJ, and bring justice to victims,” said White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. “Attempts to divide his Cabinet are baseless and not grounded in reality.”

Moore’s trial had just begun earlier this week, and he had pleaded not guilty to all charges. With the case now dismissed, his defense team says he is grateful for the support and looks forward to returning to his medical practice.

Bondi, meanwhile, framed the decision as part of a broader effort to correct what she described as “Biden-era overreach.”

“This case was never about justice,” she said. “It was about punishment for defying the federal COVID narrative. That ends now.”
