Authorities say the registered s*** offender was caught on surveillance behaving inappropriately near a woman in a department store
A California man with a history of lewd conduct has been arrested again—this time after allegedly being caught on surveillance footage sniffing a woman’s backside at a Nordstrom Rack.
Calese Carron Crowder, 38, was taken into custody on July 22 after Burbank police responded to reports of a “suspicious individual” loitering in the women’s department of the department store.
According to a press release from the Burbank Police Department, store surveillance footage showed Crowder following a female shopper, crouching down behind her, and “engaging in lewd behavior by inappropriately sniffing her buttocks.”
By the time officers arrived, Crowder had left the scene. He was later found at a nearby Walmart in the Empire Center on Victory Place and was arrested shortly after.
Crowder is facing one count of loitering with intent to commit a crime. His bail was set at $100,000.
Police confirmed that Crowder is a registered s** offender and has a “documented history of similar arrests for lewd conduct” in both Burbank and neighboring Glendale, dating back to 2021.
He is scheduled to appear in court on August 1.
