Dolly Parton has announced that several of her planned Las Vegas shows will be postponed as she focuses on her health.

The country music legend shared the update with fans in an Instagram post on Sunday, Sept. 28.

“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” wrote Parton, 79.

She explained that her doctors have advised her to undergo “a few procedures,” adding with her signature humor, “it must be time for my 100,000 check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”

Parton noted that she doesn’t want to take the stage until she can deliver the kind of performance her fans expect. “You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you,” she said.

Despite the setback, she reassured fans about her long-term plans. “Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”

The revised schedule moves her December 2025 dates to the fall of 2026.

The shows were set to mark her return to Las Vegas for her first extended engagement in over three decades, with performances scheduled at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Earlier this month, the singer also missed an appearance at Dollywood on Sept. 17 after developing kidney stones that led to an infection. “The doctor said, ‘You don’t need to be traveling right this minute, so you need a few days to get better,’ ” Parton explained in a recorded message to attendees.
