The war of words between Elon Musk and President Donald Trump took another turn Sunday, as the Tesla and SpaceX CEO responded to Trump’s latest online tirade with a mocking jab of his own.

Trump, fuming over Musk’s push to launch a third political party, the “America Party,” took to Truth Social to label the billionaire a “trainwreck” who had gone “off the rails.” In response, Musk fired back on X (formerly Twitter), sarcastically writing that he had “never heard” of Truth Social—a pointed dig at Trump’s own social media platform.

Musk Trolls Trump After Latest Rant

The snub came after a user shared a screenshot of Trump’s Truth Social post, in which the President lashed out at Musk for attempting to disrupt the two-party system with his new political initiative.

Despite once being one of Trump’s largest 2024 campaign donors, Musk appears to have completely soured on the former president—and has become increasingly vocal in his criticism.

Musk Doubles Down on America Party Vision

While dismissing Truth Social, Musk continued to promote the America Party across X. In a follow-up post, he framed the movement as a necessary alternative to what he called the “Republican/Democrat uniparty,” claiming it was time to “save the middle man.”

Musk has also openly attacked Trump’s recently signed Big Beautiful Bill, arguing that it caters to party elites and eliminates electric vehicle incentives crucial to Tesla’s business.

Still Not Official—Yet

Though Musk has generated significant buzz around the America Party online, the organization has yet to be officially registered with the Federal Election Commission. However, key documents surfaced last week naming Tesla CFO Vaibhav Taneja as party treasurer and custodian of records—suggesting formal steps are underway.

As the Musk-Trump feud heats up in public, the rift highlights a deeper ideological battle over the future of conservatism, party loyalty, and outsider influence in U.S. politics.
